Synopsis
Shrug off midweek misery as Simon Mayo sits in for Chris hoping to get you home happy! With an all star cast that includes fun, features, business, sport and, of course, you!
Your journey home never felt so short with Drivetime beside you at the wheel. Watch the miles whizz by as Simon and the team shift it up a gear for that final furlong.
Music is our master as we play sensational songs for a whole two hours. Send in your brace of belters, your terrific twosome, your dynamic duo and see if they cut the musical mustard as Gobsmackers. Are they truly tracks to make you go ooooh? And it's high noon for the high notes as we ask you for the Good, the Bad and the Ugly and put new music on trial in the Jukebox Jury.
If you're tangled up in traffic, stuck in a snarl or worried about joining a jam then fear not; the sensational Sally Boazman is on hand to keep us all on track with the travel news
Jonny Saunders serves up the sport before six and crams more competitors, contestants, runners and riders into his Sports Locker than you can shake a (hockey) stick at. Send in your top tenuous links to the stars and if the fame connection is flimsy enough Jonny will be reading it out in our run down. He's also the foil of the Drivetime family, all-round good guy and willing victim; let the games begin.
Business boffin, Rebecca Pike, keeps our listeners in the loop with the crucial news from The City, The Stock Market and your pocket. She'll also be fielding your business based conundrums if you think you've got what it takes to Fox The Fox. But don't forget; only the sharpest eyes, the keenest nose, the quickest ear and the fleetest toes will ever outfox the fox!

In Tents!
School's almost out for summer, so Simon got the lowdown on festival goers and campers essential bit of kit;'The Tent'. A man certainly qualified to give his opinion on what's Top when it comes to tents is Matt Rooney, Head of Youth Engagement Programme with Scouts Association.
The Airborne Toxic Event
U2's Adam Clayton certainly rates them and we think they are going to be your next favourite band! The Airborne Toxic Event joined Simon in the studio for a brilliant live session. They played their new single Sometime Around Midnight and told us about the mammouth world tour they are in the middle of! Next stop Slovakia!
Fox The Fox
Wednesday 15 July - Question
Since Bob Dylan first sang blowing in the wind, in the UK alone, how many more roads have been built that a man would have to walk down? Pamela Angliss
Wednesday 15 July - Answer
The record came out in 1963, and I've come up with a figure for MAJOR roads - trunk roads and motorways - based on what we know about how many miles of road there were at certain times. In 1936, we know that there were 4,459 miles of principle road - because that figure is contained in the first Trunk Roads Act. The first motorway was built in 1958 - that was the eight-mile Preston by-pass, and the first 55 miles of the M1 was built in 1959. So if we add those together we get 4522. So to round up I reckon there were about 5,000 miles of major roads in 1963. As of 2004, Britain had 7,845 miles of trunk road - so my estimate would be that around 2,800 miles of major road have been built since 1963.
