Poetry readings from our 2009 poetry season are no longer available.

Gwyneth Lewis was the first National Poet of Wales in 2005-6 and has published six books of poetry in Welsh and English. Her work is inscribed in huge letters on the Wales Millennium Centre. She has written on many subjects; Zero Gravity was inspired by her cousin’s work as an astronaut repairing the Hubble telescope. Keeping Mum examines the effects of the dying of a language has on its speakers and Sunbathing in the Rain is a cheerful book about depression, in prose.
