5 REASONS TO GO OUT & ABOUT
The Pritchattsbury Festival takes place in Pritchatts Park, Edgbaston tomorrow. There’ll be music from The Zutons, Just Jack, Lethal Bizzle and Red Light Company.
It’s also the Bristol Festival of Nature this weekend, a free event offering visitors a chance to experience, enjoy and connect to the natural world. This includes the Darwin Now exhibition, where you can explore the ideas that lie at the heart of evolutionary theory and the impact that they continue to have today.
Tomorrow, Midsummer Common in Cambridge will be home to The Strawberry Fair - a free one-day arts and music festival. There’ll be a massed parade of samba bands, steel drums and stunning costumed creatures and much other free entertainment.
Ouseburn Farm in Byker hosts the Newcastle Community Green Festival this weekend. As the name suggests, being green is at the heart of the festival, which promotes positive solutions to environmental problems such as bike-powered stages, a solar powered cinema plus a green fashion show.
On Monday, the annual Not The Royal Academy exhibition opens at The Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London. Starting the same day as The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, it features paintings they rejected and is inspired by the original Salon Des Refuses held in Paris in the 19th century.
