    Poetry readings from our 2009 poetry season are no longer available.

    Owen Sheers, who was born in 1974 in Fiji, and grew up in Abergavenny. He has written two award winning collections of poems, ‘The Blue Book’ and ‘Skirrid Hill’, a prose work of non-fiction set in Zimbabwe, ‘The Dust Diaries’, and a novel, ‘Resistance’. He collaborates with other artists and worked with the composer Rachel Portman on ‘The Water Diviner’s Tale’, an oratorio for children, premiered at the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms in 2007. Owen now divides his time between New York and Wales.
