Synopsis

Kate Silverton and Justin Rowlatt present a series of programmes on the ups and downs of the property market roller coaster.

In the first of the series, they will be testing the green shoots of recovery, asking how much lower prices can go and whether now might be a good time to buy. From a converted mill in central Manchester, they will be joined by experts to sort the property fact from property fiction, and to take the temperature of the market across the whole of the UK.

They will hear from some of the casualties of the falling market, like Sara and Andy who have postponed their wedding because they cannot sell their separate flats, and meet upsizers and downsizers, and those in negative equity.
