A Glasgow bus driver’s blog, which has became a favoured stop for web surfers looking for a laugh, is en route to BBC Radio Scotland.
An adaptation of the anonymously penned blog on www.bloodbus.com gets its airing as part of a new comedy pilot season. Written by an actual Glasgow bus driver who simply goes by the name of “The Driver”, the show stars Jordan Young (Legit, Blackwatch) and Gavin Mitchell (Still Game) with Mark Prendergast, Julie Austin, Matt Costello and Maureen Carr.
Not only does Bloodbus have a fascinating back story, but is another example of an aspiring comedy writer pursuing the world of New Media to successfully expose his work. The pilot follows ‘The Driver’ as his initial enthusiasm and aspiration to become “wonder driver” are quickly dampened by the cold reality of his working environment. Bloodbus is a Comedy Unit production for Radio Scotland.
