The Beechgrove team are on the road for the first time, to visit community gardens. This programme is based in Scotland's oldest royal burgh - the ancient town of Tain.
The Beechgrove Community Garden Initiative is about communities coming together to do something for themselves, by
themselves, with a little help or kick-start from Beechgrove. Since the initiative began in 1996, over 170 community gardens have been created in this way the length and breadth of Scotland.
The 'Tain Taskforce' have taken on an old, disused, dilapidated rose garden right in the middle of the town, on the main street, and are busy creating a stunning and accessible garden that will provide a focal point for the town, as well as a meeting and performance space for locals and visitors alike.
Jim, Carole, Lesley and Carolyn are helping out with the final stages of the community garden as well as visiting local gardens and gardeners, and trying to solve some local Tain gardening problems.
