En route, he tries his hand at sea fishing, meets the brain behind the Eden Project, and hand-harvests gourmet sea salt, fresh from the Atlantic. Finally he joins an 'End to End' walker at Britain's most south-westerly point, Land's End.
Along the way, Ben looks back at the very best of the BBC's rural programmes from this unique place.
