Should the morning-after pill be advertised on TV?

Episode image for Should the morning-after pill be advertised on TV?

Duration: 1 hour

Last night, an advert for the emergency contraception was shown on British television for the first time. The animation, which was shown at 9pm after the watershed, shows a young woman waking up in bed next to her partner and then going to a pharmacy to ask for the only morning-after pill. Does this empower women, or just encourage promiscuous behaviour?

Graham Stewart takes your calls, texts and emails.
