The Gordon family exchanged homes with the Coppola family from Italy. They stayed near Salerno on the Amalfi Coast.

Matthew Teller's home stay was on the Al-Ayoun Trail, part of the larger Abraham Path, a cultural walking route that runs from Abraham's reputed birthplace in southern Turkey through Syria and Jordan to Jerusalem, ending at Abraham's tomb in the Palestinian city of Hebron.
