  • The Winners

In the fourth series of Great British Menu, the chefs competed to cook a sumptuous homecoming banquet to honour men and women recently returned from active service in Afghanistan - along with their families who have supported them.

From Monday 25 May to Thursday 28 May, the eight winners from the regional heats cooked their entire menus for the Great British Menu judges - Oliver Peyton, Prue Leith and Matthew Fort, in the national finals. The British public voted for their favourite dishes.

The celebratory feast at RAF Halton House is a meal bursting with the tastes of home these members of the British Forces have been missing for so many months. Here are the winners, with their recipes.
