Synopsis

Sean reveals the contents of his cracker: he’s not Amy’s father. Roxy reluctantly confesses and Sean storms out. Unheard by everyone, hysterical Roxy confirms to Jack that Amy’s his. He tells her to keep quiet. Ronnie questions Roxy about the father’s identity and she lies. Sean goes to the Slaters’. Sensing something’s wrong, Stacey speaks to Sean, who reveals the news. He asks Stacey to tell Roxy to meet him. Stacey and Danielle go to deliver the message. Archie berates Suzy on the phone before putting a note signed ‘S x’ into the Vic safe he emptied earlier. Roxy meets Sean, who demands to know who the father is. Roxy claims it was a random one night stand. She tries to convince him that they can work through it and he’s still Amy’s father. Sean makes Roxy swear on Amy’s life that the father isn’t anyone he knows. Realising Roxy’s gone, Ronnie and Jack search for her. They find Sean and Roxy embracing. Jack tells Ronnie to leave them to it, persisting with his line of “it’s nothing to do with me”. Sean eyes him: “It wasn’t you was it?” Jack dismisses his question, but Sean continues to press him, the truth dawning on him. Baited, Jack goes for Sean, telling Roxy to tell them it’s not true, but Roxy can’t lie and tells Jack that they know.

As Jim and Dot enjoy Christmas together, Patrick arrives to see his friend. Dot asks after Yolande but Patrick’s dismissive and admits he didn’t go to Birmingham. Dot tells Jim she wants him home. After Jim leaves, there’s another ring at the door. “Merry Christmas, Ma”. It’s Nick.

At the Beales’, the party’s in full swing with all the extra guests. (Garry, Minty, Shirley et al) They tease Christian about his vests.
