Ian has slept the night at Dot's but refuses to go home until Jane has apologised. Through the day he has spooky encounters with Dot, representing the Ghost of Christmas Past, Janine representing the Ghost of Christmas Present and Linda the Ghost of Christmas Future. Ian eventually apologises to Jane and admits he's scared of going bankrupt again. At the Christmas Carol service Ian hands out free mince pies and tells Jane he loves her. Masood makes up with Zainab.
Shirley throws the present she bought for Phil in the bin. She decides to cheer Heather up and asks Masood for a favour. Later Masood dressed as Father Christmas delivers a special parcel to Heather. Suzy receives a 'With Sympathy' card from Ahmet giving tomorrow as the deadline for his money. Suzy panics when she discovers her Christmas present from Phil is a worthless framed photo of Phil, Ben and herself.
Janine finds it difficult to continue being 'good'. Liam discovers Terrance eating the turkey leaving the family with no option but chicken nuggets for lunch on Christmas day. Tiffany has stage fright at the Christmas carol service but with Liam's help manages to steal the show.
