Synopsis
By John Milton and adapted for radio and directed by John Tydeman.
A new production of Milton's dramatic poem, originally published in 1671, as part of Radio 3's celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the poet's birth.
Written in the form of a Greek tragedy, with the chorus commenting on the action, the play follows the biblical story of the blind Samson wreaking his revenge on the Philistines who have imprisoned him.
