Sue Barker presents live coverage of the 28th BUPA Great North Run, the world's biggest half-marathon. This year, a staggering 50,000 runners attempt the 13.1 mile course, running from Newcastle to South Shields.

A strong international field compete for honours, while dozens of celebrities once again put their reputations on the line to raise millions of pounds for charity. Look out for a cavalcade of TV presenters, including Ray Stubbs, Jim Rosenthal, Gethin Jones, Sophie Raworth, Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams. Carol Vorderman looks for as low a number as she can when she reaches the finish line, and former athlete Kriss Akabusi hopes to add another medal to his collection.

Steve Cram, Brendan Foster and Paul Dickenson provide commentary, while Jonathan Edwards, Phil Jones, Lara Rostron and Rob Walker report from the sidelines.
