Duration: 1 hour, 25 minutes

A new, two-part, provocative drama set in the real-life context of climate change, written by Simon Beaufoy (The Full Monty). Burn Up is an emotionally powerful story of love, commitment and divided loyalty - a thriller in which the stakes couldn't be higher. Oil company executives, environmental activists and politicians collide in the battle between economic success and ecological responsibility.

The head of Arrow Oil suddenly retires and Tom McConnell is asked to replace him. Meanwhile, a group of oil workers in the Saudi desert are murdered and Arrow Oil is served with a writ for destroying the lives of the Arctic Inuit. The clean lines that have formerly made up Tom McConnell's life turn increasingly murky.
