Synopsis

Penny Gore introduces a concert given at the Pittville Pump Room as part of the 2008 Cheltenham Music Festival, featuring French-Canadian pianist Marc-Andre Hamelin. He performs two sonatas by Haydn, a work by French-Bulgarian composer Alexis Weissenberg, and as part of 'Chamber-made Schubert' - Cheltenham's festival-within-a-festival - the Sonata in B flat.

Weissenberg: Sonate en etat de jazz
Schubert: Sonata in B flat, D960.
