After their defeat in Presidential elections last year, France's Socialists are wondering how best to regain the initiative from Nicholas Sarkozy. Some of the Socialist Party's leading figures like Bernard Kouchner have even been persuaded to join Mr Sarkozy's government. Even in his private life Mr Sarkozy is making news.
