Coverage of the World Athletics Championships in Osaka where five more world titles will be decided. With none of the 400m Olympic, World or European champions on show and world number one Sanya Richards failing to qualify, there is a chance of a breakthrough performance by one of the younger generation. In the men's high jump final former university basketball player Donald Thomas is vying to become the Bahamas' first world champion barely 18 months after he first tried the sport. Other events include the women's triple jump qualification, 200m second round, discus final, 5000m first round, 100m hurdles final, and the men's 400m semi-finals, 1500m final and 200m semi-finals.
