Synopsis

The team is in the northwest of England, on a journey that includes a brand-new location for Coast - the Isle of Man.

Neil Oliver discovers why Americans once attacked the English port of Whitehaven, and he celebrates the early days of powered flight on Southport beach.

Miranda Krestovnikoff is in search of the biggest sharks in British waters. And Alice Roberts meets a woman with a remarkable story of childhood in the Isle of Man's internment camps.

Hermione Cockburn investigates the astonishing rate at which the sands around Southport are disappearing into the sea, and how ordnance survey maps keep up with our changing coastline.
