Chris Hoy: Just a Minute

Olympic cycling gold medallist Chris Hoy travels to La Paz to make his mark on sprint cycling, having been denied the opportunity to defend his Olympic title. As well as his Athens gold medal for the kilometre, he has held the World Championship four times. At a velodrome in Bolivia, 12,000 ft up in the Andes, is the possibility of breaking the all time record of 58.875 seconds and attempting the 500 metre record of 25.85 seconds. There is hardly any air resistance, but none to breathe either. Jill Douglas presents one Scot's attempt to dominate an event now pulled from the Olympic schedule.
