Brian Matthew selects more classics and rarities from pop's golden decade. With all the facts and figures and stories behind the songs.

Tracks this week include The Isley Brothers, The Love Affair, the London sound of The Dave Clark Five, The Foundations, the great Rolf Harris, Sounds Incorporated, Tom Jones, Frank Ifield, The Marcels, Peter and Gordon and Anthony Newley.

A less often heard Joe Meek track comes from Heinz and there are rarities from Ray Pollard, The Philosopher of Soul - Johnny Taylor, The Appollas and a very rare track from McGough and McGear (Roger and Mike).

The BBC Session recording is Bridget St. John recorded for Top Gear in 1969 and Loose Connections features tracks from The Ivy League, The Mindbenders and The Paramounts - but what do they have in common? If you like psychedelia there's an almost unpronounceable track from The Orange Bicycle....far out!
