Synopsis

In the week that he would have turned 78 and shortly after the release of the final collection of the recordings he made with Rick Rubin, there's another chance to hear Paul Gambaccini celebrate the life of the great Johnny Cash.
From the fields of Arkansas to Sun Records in Memphis, then to Nashville and onwards to conquer the world, Johnny Cash was one of the American music's true heroes. This series was first broadcast shortly after his sad death in 2003.
