Synopsis

From diamante and feathers to chain mail and wimples - Wedding Stories features some bizarre ways to get hitched. But it's not all romance - there are last-minute doubts, stag-night excesses, interfering in-laws and unexpected disasters.

Christine and Seylan are having a big fat Greek and Turkish, celebrity-style wedding. But after 10 years of planning, this over-the-top pink and diamante production hits a hitch. The Greek priest is running over an hour late, so Christine and her enormous dress must hide in the kitchens of the glamorous venue, waiting to make a fairytale entrance.

Since Roberto's student visa expired it's been a long-distance affair for 55 year old father of three, Graham and his Brazilian boyfriend. The only way Graham and Roberto can be together again in London is to get Roberto a visa and get hitched. But before hearing the outcome of the visa application, banker Graham makes an unwelcome discovery.

British Indians Kathleen and Raakesh come from very different families. While Raakesh is Hindu, Kat is Catholic. Both sides want to follow their traditions, but the compromise solution ends up pleasing no-one. As the wedding approaches, Kat has last-minute doubts about starting a new life and moving in with Raakesh's family. Together with the guilty secret of her replacement wedding dress, it makes for an explosive mix on the day.
