Historical drama set during the French Revolution. A young English lawyer falls for the wife of a French nobleman and finds himself caught up in one of history's bloodiest uprisings. This was the sixth film adaptation of Dickens's famous novel. Unlike most of the others, this was actually shot in England and France.
