John Irving: My Life in Fiction

In a rare television interview filmed at his home in Vermont, best-selling American author John Irving reveals the personal traumas which lie behind his fiction. Abandoned by his father at the age of 2, and later sexually abused by an older woman at the age of 11, he finally admits that almost all his fiction, and especially his new book Until I Find You, has been driven by a quest for his missing father.
