An all-star line up celebrates the music of Johnny Mercer live at the Mermaid Theatre.
As part of an evening commemorating the 50th anniversary of legendary Soho jazz club Ronnie Scott's, there's another chance to enjoy this special concert first heard in January.
The Ronnie Scott's Big Band, with conductor Pete Long, join the BBC Concert Orchestra and conductor Roderick Dunk, to deliver some of the finest swinging jazz numbers of all time.
From London's Mermaid Theatre, Clare Teal presents and performs alongside a sublime line-up of jazz performers, including Georgina Bromilow, Lianne Carroll, and the Ronnie Scott's Singers.
As part of a special evening of programmes celebrating the birth centenary of the great lyricist Johnny Mercer, Friday Night Is Music Night presents a special tribute concert, live from London's Mermaid Theatre.
Curtis Stigers presents, and will also be performing alongside an all-star line-up from the world of musical theatre and TV - Sally Ann Triplett (Mamma Mia), Ruthie Henshall (Woman In White), and Nigel Harman (Guys & Dolls/EastEnders) - bringing the Mercer songbook to life, with the help of the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Tony award-nominated Larry Blank.
The programme also includes the special Interval feature, 'Mercer Sings Mercer', exploring Johnny Mercer's performing career.
Patina Miller - currently wowing audiences in the West End with Sister Act - teams up with Ben James-Ellis (Hairspray) and Steve Balsamo (Jesus Christ Superstar) for a sparkling show. Roderick Dunk conducts the BBC Concert Orchestra, and Paul Gambaccini oversees proceedings.
