BBC Big Band at Perth Concert Hall

Join the BBC Big Band on Friday 27 April at 7.30pm in Perth Concert Hall for a programme of big band classics including tributes to Scottish jazz greats Jimmy Deuchar and Tommy Whittle, standards from Victor Young and Hoagy Carmichael and Gershwin’s Strike Up the Band.

There is specially arranged music for this concert for Claire Martin and Nigel Hitchcock. Plus a Barry Forgie original of his Sing a Samba for Krupa in the style of drum legend Gene Krupa – a feature for the BBC Big Band’s Scottish drummer Tom Gordon.
This Concert is being recorded for Radio 3's Jazz Line-Up.
