About the programme

No consumer complaint too big or too small - that’s the slogan here at X-Ray.

Lucy, Rhodri, Rachel and the team love nothing more than holding companies and traders to account to get a result for you.

Each week they travel Wales tackling the consumer issues that matter to you … whether it’s a simple solution to shoddy service or hard-hitting investigations into prolific fraudsters, we will go to the Xth degree to expose those responsible.

  • Rogue loan brokers Yes Loans has finally been closed down by the Office of Fair Trading after years of campaigning by X-Ray
  • Bogus cancer therapist Reg Gill has been jailed for eight years after X-Ray went undercover to expose his fraudulent claims to cure the disease
  • Car Warranties boss Harby Panesar - who sold worthless policies – was first exposed by X-Ray. Just months later he’s facing jail over his crooked business practices.

Sometimes stories that have seemed like small issues have snowballed into something much bigger - like our investigation into private parking firm Excel Parking. We ended up getting refunds for dozens of drivers who were unfairly ticketed in Ebbw Vale.

Other times companies just need reminding to deliver what they’ve promised, like the case of Carol & Andrew Hughes from Wrexham. When Andrew was diagnosed with cancer their travel insurers refused to pay out – X-Ray got back what was rightfully theirs - over £3,500.

If you’ve got a story you’d like us to look into, get in touch. Even when the series is not on your screens, our team is here, keen to follow up leads and get you a result.
