FAQ

Get answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about Antiques Roadshow.

  • When is the next valuation day?

All upcoming dates and locations for Antiques Roadshow valuation days can be found on our homepage, and are also are listed on our Be on A Show page.

  • Can I come along to an Antiques Roadshow?

Absolutely, we welcome as many people as possible to our valuation days where we film the programme. These take place between April and October every year at venues across the UK. Without your items and stories, Antiques Roadshow would not be as popular as it is. If you do not have an item to be assessed, you are still welcome to attend Roadshow events as a spectator.

  • What if I have an item I want appraised, but can't get to a show?

Antiques Roadshow experts can only give appraisals and valuations at Roadshows, not via email or post. You can find details of local antiques dealers and auction houses in the UK on the Association of Art & Antiques Dealers or The British Antique Dealers' Association websites.

  • When is Antiques Roadshow in my area?

We try to get around as much of the UK as we can each year. In 2011 we visited 14 different locations.

  • Do I need to apply for tickets, and is there a charge?

Admission to valuation days is free, and the event is not ticketed. All valuations are free.

  • Do you have an expert for coins, stamps, rugs, carpets and musical instruments?

We do not have specialists in the fields of stamps, coins, rugs, carpets or musical instruments. Our team may be able to suggest alternative sources for more detailed information. If you've brought stamps, please be aware that experts are not able to spend time looking through large collections.

  • Is Antiques Roadshow available on DVD?
