How to get to the Quay

We are advising all visitors to take public transport to get to the site. For Traffic restrictions during the Commonwealth Games go to glasgow2014.com/games/transport.

BY BUS

McGill’s Bus 23 and 26 (Pacific Drive form City Centre)

City Sightseeing Tour Bus (Pacific Drive from City Centre)

McGills will be running a strengthened service for the event during peak times.

BY TRAIN

Exhibition Centre is located on the Argyle Line with regular services running from Glasgow Central and Partick Stations. To reach BBC at the Quay you will need to cross the Clyde Arc via Finnieston Street.

BY SUBWAY

The nearest station is Cessnock. Exit the station and turn left, then turn right onto Brand Street and then left onto Lorne Street. Turn left onto Pacific Drive and follow event signage towards the entrance into the site.

PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS

There are pedestrian and cycling routes from Glasgow City Centre to the festival site. Pedestrians coming from that side of the Clyde will need to cross the Clyde Arc unless they are coming directly from an event at the SECC precinct as there are restrictions on both the Millennium Bridge and Bell’s Bridge.
