5 live's Big Day Out - Liverpool, 1 June
Find out more about plans for 5 live's Big Day Out.
Join Colin Murray, Robbie Savage and Mark Chapman, plus Merseyside sporting legends, and special guests Primal Scream at Big Day Out, BBC Radio 5 live’s biggest ever live event at the Echo Arena Liverpool on Saturday 1 June.
The show will be opened by comedian Angelos Epithemiou, famous for his appearances on BBC Two’s Shooting Stars. Top Gear's The Stig will also appear.
Colin Murray will keep order on a special edition of the ever popular sports panel show Fighting Talk. Colin will be joined by former Everton midfielder Peter Reid, plus regulars John Rawling, Bob Mills and Justin Moorhouse, who will battle to take points for punditry as they talk about all of the moment's biggest sporting stories. Expect wit, banter, moments of absurdity and a few surprises along the way as they rage to be crowned the ultimate Fighting Talk Champion.
Savage and Chapman will be joined on stage by Jason Roberts and Darren Fletcher and a host of special guests, including former Everton goalie Neville Southall and former Liverpool striker and Tranmere Rovers boss John Aldridge, and fans for an end of season edition of 606 - the UK's biggest football phone-in. This will include the highly-anticipated 606 Awards for Favourite Away Day, Best Tweeter and Call of the Year, among others.
Colin, Mark and Robbie will also be joined by rock legends Primal Scream, who’ll be performing an exclusive live set featuring tracks from their new album More Light and extensive back catalogue.
Liverpool-born boxer David Price will also make an appearance at 5 live's Big Day Out.
