5 live's Bump Club

Find out more about 5 live's Bump Club

On Tuesday 5 March, Tony Livesey launches a brand new programme strand for Radio 5 live all about mum and dad, bump and baby.

The 5 live Bump Club will follow the journeys of Bump Club members as they go through the ups and downs of pregnancy. Plus there’ll be advice, insights and in-depth features from a host of experts, along with personal experiences and anecdotes from well-known mums and dads-to-be.

Each Tuesday from 11pm, Tony will host a half-hour feature as he catches-up with the Bump Club mums and hears from 5 live’s baby diarists, mum-to-be Shappi Korsandi and new dad Danny Robbins.

Beverley Turner, mum of three and James Cracknell’s wife, will also be a regular on the show. Bev will be a key member of the Bump Club, reporting on issues about pregnancy and birth and closely following all our Bump Club women. Bev will also host a Bump Club Easter Sunday special.

In addition to the Tuesday night feature, from 26 May new mum Edith Bowman and 5 live’s Colin Murray will present a weekly Sunday morning Bump Club show. Colin and Edith will continue to follow the Bump Club mums-to-be as they approach their due dates.

Listeners to the launch on 5 March will be introduced to four Bump Club members - Lorna, Holly, Mercy and Laura - who will share their stories so far. Everything from finding out about their pregnancies to scans and midwife appointments, classes and complications will be covered.

5 live’s Bump Club will also visit a maternity ward in a hospital in the North West for a special live broadcast in July.

And it's not just on-air. The conversation continues online, with regular updates on the 5 live Facebook page and on Twitter using #bumpclub.
