About Live Lessons

Join the UK’s biggest classroom

Live, interactive programmes devised by BBC Learning to support teachers and bring curriculum content to life, directly to your classroom.

With access to leading experts and some of the BBC's biggest brands and talent, Live Lessons are a shared learning experience for schools all over the UK.

Watch free online at bbc.com/livelessons and share your students’ work with us live via email at live.lessons@bbc.co.uk or on social media at #bbclivelessons.

Want more? Look out for Live Lessons EXTRA - a 30-minute follow-up programme of new subject content published online within a week of the live show.

How does it work?

All Live Lessons are available on our website at bbc.co.uk/livelessons and are streamed online, at a set time, to classrooms across the UK.

This is your chance to get involved, ask the experts questions and share what your class has learned.

We cover a range of topics across the primary and secondary curriculum, including music, art, literature, computing and literacy.

Each lesson is 30 minutes long and designed for a particular age group.

Details of the lesson format are published on the website two weeks before the live broadcast.

If you can't join us for the Live Lesson the full episode and clips of the lesson will be available on the website after the broadcast.

And Live Lessons EXTRA, a 30 minute follow up programme, will be also be available online within a week of the live show.
