A boy looking to earn a few pounds approaches Michelle about taking part in the Alzheimer's drugs trial at the surgery, as the drama set in a Midlands health centre continues. Later, the boy's mother arrives at The Mill and uses a fake name to enquire as to whether she can go on the trial.
Suspicious of suddenly receiving two queries about the trials before they have even begun, Michelle investigates further. She discovers the woman's true identity and that she has Alzheimer's.
Vivien, meanwhile, comes to work to take her mind off waiting for the call to let her know when the jury is out. When the call finally arrives, she asks Julia to accompany her with Jimmi and Ronnie. The foreman gives his verdict – the defendant is guilty on all charges.
They all go to The Icon bar to celebrate but Vivien seems totally lost around her colleagues, who are naturally delighted with the verdict. Only Lily seems to notice that Vivien isn't joining the celebrations. Vivien opens up to Lily about being unsure of how to move on with her life – can she ever really get back to just living?
Michelle is played by Donnaleigh Bailey, Vivien by Anita Carey, Julia by Diane Keen, Jimmi by Adrian Lewis Morgan, Ronnie by Sean Gleeson and Lily by Seeta Indrani.

Dani (Dani Harmer) is transformed into Dan as she sets out to prove Toby wrong
Dani and Sam set out to find Toby some male company in this week's episode of the children's comedy series. Toby is tired of being with the girls all the time but realises he has no male friends to bond with, so the girls set out to help him by holding an "X-Factor" style audition.
Toby angers Dani by stating girls can't choose a man's friends, so she sets out to prove him wrong and transforms herself into Dan. She quickly has to adapt to hanging out as a boy, but her plans are thwarted when Sam reveals her true identity.
Meanwhile, the tables are turned as Ben finally beats Max at computer games, leaving Max to feel like a bumbling loser.
Finally, Toby and Max find comfort in a little male bonding and realise life isn't that bad after all.
Dani is played by Dani Harmer, Max by Sebastian Applewhite, Ben by James Gandhi, Toby by Harry Culverhouse and Sam by Klariza Clayton.

The Barristers Ep 2/4
Friday 21 November 9.00-10.00pm BBC TWO (Schedule addition Tuesday 4 November) |
|
The Bar is one of the most powerful professions in the country – it produces prime ministers, millionaires and the judges who shape our law. It's a glamorous world which attracts thousands of would-be barristers every year but only one in five students will ever get to present a case in court – only the brightest and the very best survive.
As this series, a co-production between the BBC and the Open University, continues, Birmingham divorce barrister Louise brokers a financial settlement while her colleagues in family law investigate the case of a child with a fractured skull.
The hard-up students have their first interviews for pupillage – an apprenticeship in a set of barrister's chambers. With huge competition and newly qualified barristers facing an average debt of £35,000, the pressure is on to juggle their jobs with interview preparation.
