Gary Lineker introduces live coverage from Vienna of the opening Group B game between Austria and Croatia, as the 2008 European Championships continue.
Co-hosts Austria are making their European Championship debut and their first appearance at a major tournament for 10 years. They failed to make it past the first round in the 1998 World Cup and recent results suggest they face an uphill task to avoid elimination at the group stages.
Croatia are being talked of as possible winners of the tournament off the back of a superb qualifying campaign, which included two victories over England. Coach Slaven Bilic will feel the loss of injured Arsenal striker Eduardo, but they have two potential match-winners in Portsmouth's Niko Kranjcar and Tottenham's new joint-record signing, Luka Modric.
For viewers with access to the Red button there is live match coverage with alternative commentary and rolling highlights, as well as extensive highlights of every game, all the goals from the tournament and highlights of classic matches from previous years.
Coverage of this match is also available on the BBC HD Channel.

Gary Lineker introduces live coverage of the Group B encounter in Klagenfurt between pre-tournament favourites Germany and neighbouring Poland.
Germany are re-established as a leading football nation since finishing third on home soil at the 2006 World Cup. However, despite winning the European title a record three times, they've not won a match in the tournament since lifting the trophy in 1996. Coach Joachim Loew has ensured a smooth transition since replacing Jurgen Klinsmann after the World Cup, and can call on the experience of Jens Lehmann, Chelsea's Michael Ballack and prolific Bayern Munich forward Miroslav Klose. But it's half-Spanish striker Mario Gomez who could prove the ace in their pack after averaging nearly a goal a game for Stuttgart this season.
Poland are competing in their first European Championships, having topped a qualifying group that included Portugal. Nine-goal striker Euzebiusz Smolarek was their star man, while Dutch coach Leo Beenhakker has previously managed his home nation and Trinidad & Tobago in the World Cup finals.
For viewers with access to the Red button there is live match coverage with alternative commentary and rolling highlights, as well as extensive highlights of every game, all the goals from the tournament and highlights of classic matches from previous years.
There will also be a replay of this evening's match starting at 10pm.
Coverage of the match is also available on the BBC HD Channel.

BBC Two brings highlights from one of motorcycling's most famous road race events, which has been taking place over the past week.

Suzi Perry is in Barcelona to introduce live coverage of the Catalunya MotoGP, which is the seventh round of 16 in the 2008 competition.
If the race is anywhere near as exciting as last year's, then motorcycling fans will be in for a real treat. Valentino Rossi started on pole but Casey Stoner hit the front on the first lap and a nip-and-tuck battle between the pair ensued, with the lead changing hands several times. However, the Australian held on and went on to claim his first MotoGP title.

Sue Barker introduces live coverage of the men's singles final at the French Open.
Rafael Nadal has been the master of clay in recent seasons and has won the title at Roland Garros for the past three years. In 2007, he extinguished Roger Federer's hopes of completing his set of Grand Slams with a four-set victory in the final. It was the second consecutive year that the young Spaniard had denied world No. 1 Federer in the final, although the Swiss star turned the tables a month later at Wimbledon.

Mears Goes Walkabout – Torres Strait Ep

Ray Mears travels to the Torres Strait
Britain's foremost survival expert, Ray Mears, continues his walkabout in Australia and sets out on his penultimate journey through the wilderness of the Australian Outback.
Ray has spent much time in Arnhem Land and is keen to discover more about their closest relatives – the Torres Strait Islanders to the North of the mainland. Ray island hops discovering more about this little visited part of the world.
The islanders live a modern life today but their island lifestyle has helped them retain much of their bushcraft and knowledge, a way of life dominated by their island location. Ray spends time with the Island Elders, learning how they use the flora and fauna around them, delving into the history of their ancestors, who had a reputation as fearsome warriors protecting their precious land.
Ray learns of the incredible survival tale of 16-year-old Barbara Thompson who, in 1842, eloped to marry her sweetheart. Shipwrecked in the treacherous Torres Strait waters, through luck and fate she survived and lived on Prince of Wales island with the Kaurareg people. From being a scared, traumatised girl, she learned to fit in and become a valuable member of the tribe. She was eventually rescued five years later by the crew of HMS Rattlesnake and her unique story was recorded by the ship's artist.
During the Second World War, the islanders formed Australia's one and only indigenous battalion – the Torres Strait Light Infantry. Their warrior spirit made them perfect soldiers as they enlisted in droves to protect their home from invasion by the Japanese.
Mrs Tapau and Mrs Sabasio were both seven-year-old girls living on the outer isle of Yam when a Japanese fighter pilot, returning from a failed mission, decided to vent his frustration on the island's inhabitants by training his machine gun on them and opening fire. They share their memories in this programme and Ray visits the cave they lived in with their families for four years after the assault, at a time when they were fearful of another attack and found small comfort in this well-hidden refuge.

The Plain White T's make a guest appearance
As term progresses in Greek, it's mating season, but no one seems to be having a good time, as the new, US comedy drama following the lives of young people on a university campus continues.
Rusty needs to find a date for the Kappa Tau party but, since just talking to a girl turns him into a blithering idiot, it's proving hard to find someone. He turns to his sister for help, but Casey has problems of her own: unable to forgive Evan for his fling with Rebecca, she's side-stepping his advances at every turn. Her house president, Frannie, tells Casey she's got to get over it for the good of the sorority. At the same time, Ashleigh warns Evan to keep his hands off Casey and give her some space. With another obstacle in their way, will Casey and Evan ever work it out?
Meanwhile, Casey tries to help Rusty find a date by turning him into a reluctant mini-Evan. Fortunately Cappie soon steps in. He puts Rusty through the Cappie School of Charm, but Rusty flunks every class. Desperate, Cappie fixes Rusty up with the easiest girl on campus, but there's some history there. When Casey finds out about the mismatch she runs out on Evan to save her baby brother from a big mistake...
Rusty is played by Jacob Zachar, Casey by Spencer Grammer, Evan by Jake McDorman, Rebecca by Dilsad Vadsaria, Ashleigh by Amber Stevens and Cappie by Scott Michael Foster.
Pop band The Plain White T's, who had a massive hit last year with Hey There Delilah, also make a guest performance as a Kappa Tau band.
