Reggie becomes increasingly frustrated with his life, as the comedy written by Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye and David Nobbs, the writer of the original Seventies show, continues.

Reggie's wife, Nicola, seems to prefer spending time with anyone but him. When he goes to Helsinki on a business trip with the beautiful Jasmine, Reggie's marriage to Nicola faces its biggest test. And Reggie's overbearing boss, Chris, has his eye on him.

Reggie Perrin is played by Martin Clunes, Nicola Perrin by Fay Ripley, Jasmine Strauss by Lucy Liemann and Chris Jackson by Neil Stuke.

Reggie Perrin is simulcast on the BBC HD channel – the BBC's High Definition channel available through Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media.

Dido & Aeneas From The Royal Opera House

Marking the 350th anniversary of Henry Purcell's birth is this new production of Dido & Aeneas, a short operatic masterpiece, which brings together The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet, directed by Wayne McGregor, the Royal Ballet's resident choreographer.

British mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly sings the role of Dido and American baritone Lucas Meachum is Aeneas. In the pit is the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment conducted by the period instrument pioneer Christopher Hogwood. The opera is introduced by Charles Hazlewood.
