Investigations into the murder commence with the entire gang being questioned, as the drama set in the sun-drenched Australian beach resort of Manly continues.

DS Wilson begins investigating the murder, calling each member of the group in for questioning.

Addo's panic intensifies as he realises that, with no memory, he has no way of proving his innocence. Since he knows nothing for sure, anything is possible and he begins to feel that someone must have spiked his drink.

Convinced of his innocence, Stavva and Jarrod attempt to help Addo recall and piece together the events of the previous night. They begin by attempting to find the author of the note left for Addo, but to no avail. While gathering his clothes from his illegal digs, Addo realises he lost his trousers last night – literally. And to make matters worse, Addo's squatting is exposed by the highly unimpressed owner of the flat he's been staying in.

Meanwhile, the forensics team discovers that the victim was taken from a car and dragged and then dropped into the water. Stavva's sister, Lucia, is identified as the owner of the vehicle. Stavva previously told Wilson he had driven his sister's car to the reunion, meaning that he is brought back to the station for further questioning.

Later, Stephen turns up on Gabby's doorstep, announcing to Bec that he's told his wife and children about her and that he has left them, ready to move to Sydney to start a new life with her.

DS Wilson is played by Shane Withington, Addo by Daniel Henshall, Stavva by Ryan Johnson, Jarrod by Clayton Watson, Lucia by Basia A'Hern, Stephen by John Atkinson, Gabby by Sophie Katinis and Bec by Renai Caruso.

running as smoothly as
he'd hoped

It's new boy PC Jake Loughton's first shift at Holby South but his first day at the precinct isn't running as smoothly as he'd hoped, as Tony Jordan's fast-paced police drama continues. Lucy is in charge of helping him settle in but she is finding it difficult to be paired with someone so soon after Robert's death. As Lucy tries to make friends with her new colleague she becomes increasingly annoyed when he insists on patronising her. Their focus is quickly brought back on the job when they're caught up in a case investigating two robbers on a smash-and-grab spree.

Back at the station, a rowdy group of drunken women is brought in after their night on the town ended in a brawl.
PC William Jackson is embarrassed to discover that his estranged mother, Linda, is amongst the gang.

Meanwhile, keen to secure time away from the stresses of her job and family, Jenny joins John's wife, Kate, and Luke's wife, Mandy, on a girls' night out. The girls are surprised to see Scott arrive at the bar after what turned out to be a disastrous blind date. Mandy and a heavily pregnant Jenny decide to call it a night, leaving Kate alone with Scott. Against her better judgement, she stays for another drink.

Following his declaration of love, Neil has an awkward start to the evening's shift with Kelly. They are assigned to a long evening's stake out, which doesn't make the frosty atmosphere any better. Neil doesn't regret admitting his feelings for his colleague but, when Kelly finally opens up, he's far from prepared for her honest admission.

PC Jake Loughton is played by James Thornton, PC Lucy Slater by Elaine Glover, PC William Jackson by Joe Jacobs, Linda by Sharon Duce, Inspector Jenny Black by Kacey Ainsworth, Kate Keenan by Zoë Lucker, DS Luke French by Richard Harrington, Mandy French by Stephanie Langton, DCI Scott Vaughan by Oliver Milburn, PC Neil Parker by Jimmy Akingbola and PC Kelly Cooper by Chloe Howman.

MEDIEVAL SEASON
Inside The Medieval Mind – Belief Ep 3/4

Thursday 1 May
9.00-10.00pm BBC FOUR
www.bbc.co.uk/four
BBC Four press pack

Professor Robert Bartlett investigates the intellectual landscape of the medieval world and belief in the supernatural, in the third episode of this series, part of BBC Four's Medieval Season.

It was believed that the medieval dead shared the world with the living: encounters with the dead and visions of the next world ensured a two-way traffic between this world and the next.

Professor Bartlett recounts the popular medieval tale of The Three Living And The Three Dead and quotes from medieval sources describing the visit of an Essex peasant to the next world, which leaves him with a keen sense of the geography of the after life.

The cult of the saints was part of the medieval preoccupation with death. The Holy dead were active in their intercession for the living, and their relics were prized. Professor Bartlett examines one of the few medieval relics in Britain, the skull of St Simon Stock at Aylesford Priory.

Inside The Medieval Mind is a BBC/Open University
co-production and is part of BBC Four's wide-ranging season exploring life in medieval Britain.
