Nigel Slater cooks up some more Simple Suppers

Grilled lamb with feta and lemon; Thai-inspired noodle sou; and a tasty smokey tomato sauce for pasta are on the menu this week, as Nigel Slater continues to share his passion for easy-to-make, delicious food.

Most people don't have time to follow cookery books and, in this series, there's no need to write down complicated recipes as Nigel's unflustered style makes these feasts easy to remember.

Taking inspiration from his vegetable patch, Nigel shows how combinations of ingredients that grow in the same place, at the same time, often make the ideal starting point for a dish. He visits local allotment holder Bernita and makes a tempting supper of beetroot and potato fritters with the fruits of her labours.

The series is part of the BBC's Dig-In campaign which, throughout spring and summer, has been urging new growers to get digging, offering free seed starter packs, advice and information through The campaign is now moving from plot to pot as the focus shifts to cooking up all that lovely fresh produce with the transmission of Nigel Slater's Simple Suppers and some extra treats on the Dig In website.

Becky soon becomes attached to a group of boys at the campsite and takes a shine to one in particular. But, when Roy wants to join in, Becky thinks her younger brother is cramping her style. Things come to a head when her new-found friends prefer Roy's company to hers and she is left simmering on her own.

Soon Roy's new crowd reveal their true nature and leave him in the lurch. Will Becky be able to forgive her brother and come to his rescue?

Roy is voiced by Scott Graham and Becky is played by Martha Byrne, Maura by Cathy Belton, Bill Simon Delaney, grandma Rose by Maura Shannon and grandad Petey by Des Nealon.
