Match Of The Day Live – USA v Italy

Live event/outside broadcast
Monday 15 June
7.00-9.30pm BBC THREE

Gabby Logan presents live coverage of the USA against Italy as both sides look to get their Confederations Cup campaigns off to a winning start.

The tournament involves football's six continental champions alongside hosts South Africa and world champions Italy, and should whet the appetite of football fans already looking forward to next year's World Cup.

Italy beat the USA on the way to winning football's greatest prize in 2006 and will be confident of a repeat performance in Pretoria. The Azzurri failed to shine at Euro 2008 but now have World Cup-winning coach Marcello Lippi back in charge.

There is also a chance for viewers to see the goals from today's other Group B clash, in which Brazil face Egypt.
