Radio 2 has world exclusive first play of Kate Bush's new single

BBC Radio 2 will be the first radio station in the world to play the new Kate Bush single on Monday 4 April 2011.

The song, entitled "Deeper Understanding", will be played within the Ken Bruce Show, which has a weekly audience of 7million listeners, at approximately 11.10am.

The song will be the Record of the Week and will receive a daily play on Ken Bruce's weekday show from 9.30am-12 noon, and Alex Lester's programme, between 2-5am from Tuesday morning.

Ken Bruce comments: "The listeners to my show are very vocal when it comes to their musical loves, so I know that having the world exclusive of Kate's new single will surpass their extremely high standards. I can't wait to hear it myself."

Jeff Smith, Head of Music, Radio 2 and Radio 6 Music, comments: "Kate's music is as influential today as it was when it was first released, so I'm delighted to have this world exclusive.
