BBC confirms presenting team to celebrate the Royal Wedding

The BBC today announced its presenting line up for the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton with the aim of bringing viewers and listeners comprehensive coverage across TV, radio and online, both in the UK and around the world.

Leading the programming for BBC One and BBC News will be Huw Edwards, who will be based outside Buckingham Palace and joined by fellow anchors Fiona Bruce and Sophie Raworth, who will be situated at key locations in central London.

Also reporting on events across the day for BBC TV are Radio 1's Fearne Cotton and Edith Bowman, BBC Sport presenter Jake Humphrey, BBC Breakfast's Chris Hollins, along with One Show presenter Alex Jones and her colleague, Anita Rani, who will capture the stories, excitement and celebrations from across London, the UK and around the world.

Coverage of the couple's special day will also feature prominently across the BBC's radio networks, giving listeners on-the-spot reaction and interactive coverage.

The presenting line-up across the day will include Edward Stourton providing commentary of the service across BBC Radio. Other presenters include James Naughtie on Radio 4, Victoria Derbyshire and Richard Bacon on Radio 5 Live, together with Vernon Kay and Sara Cox for Radio 1 and Chris Evans and Ken Bruce for Radio 2.

This presenting team will complement the coverage from BBC News that will broadcast throughout the day.

Alongside comprehensive coverage on television and radio the BBC's dedicated portal bbc.co.uk/royalwedding will offer live streaming and in depth coverage on the day.

Further programming, location and scheduling details will be announced shortly.

Mark Byford, Deputy Director General, who is overseeing the BBC's Royal Wedding plans, says: "With such a strong line-up of presenters across TV, radio and online the BBC's in-depth coverage of the Royal Wedding will bring the event to life for viewers and listeners across the land, helping the UK to celebrate the big day."
