BBC Entertainment Commissioning appoints Sean Hancock

Mark Linsey, Controller Entertainment Commissioning, announced today the appointment of Sean Hancock as executive producer working on output for BBC Three.

Sean has an impressive pedigree in production for entertainment programmes and will start his new role on 1 June.

Sean began his television career in 2001 and has worked on programmes such as Celebrity Big Brother (Channel 4), The Farm (Five), Strictly Dance Fever (BBC One), How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? (BBC One), Grease Is The Word (ITV1), Shipwrecked (Channel 4), Britain's Missing Top Model (BBC Three) and most recently as producer/director at talkbackThames on Over The Rainbow, Take Me Out and All Star Family Fortunes.

Mark Linsey, Controller Entertainment Commissioning, said: "Sean has a wide range of entertainment experience both in development and production and will be a very valuable addition to the team."

Sean Hancock added: "It's an exciting time to be joining BBC Three and I'm hugely looking forward to helping continue its excellent record of producing intelligent, funny and vibrant programmes for a young audience."
