The world-famous Last Night of the Proms celebrations spill out of the Royal Albert Hall and into BBC Proms in the Park events around the UK. Each live concert has high-profile artists and presenters and culminates in a BBC Big Screen link-up to the Royal Albert Hall (11 September).

In London's Hyde Park internationally acclaimed musical stars including Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and José Carreras join the BBC Concert Orchestra, together with the winner of the BBC Radio 2 Kiri Prize – the station's nationwide hunt to find a new opera star.

More stars will be announced soon, and the event is live on BBC Radio 2.

Highlights of the Proms in the Park will be included as part of the live coverage of the Last Night on BBC One and BBC Two, while digital TV viewers can choose to watch the concert inside the Royal Albert Hall or Proms in the Park.

Details of other Proms in the Park events will be announced later.

More opportunities to join the Last Night magic

BBC Big Screens around the UK also encourage the nation to join in the fun.

From Dover and Portsmouth in the South, to Edinburgh in the North, and from Norwich in the East to Bristol, Plymouth and Cardiff in the West, more than 20 towns and cities are already scheduled to participate and the list is growing all the time.
