Martha Argerich will play the Ravel Piano Concerto in G major at the BBC Proms on 30 August 2009 as planned. We regretfully announce, however, that due to recent illness she has been unable to prepare Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 1, which she was due to perform in the same concert.

We are delighted to announce that Charles Dutoit will now conduct the symphonic suite from Prokofiev's The Love For Three Oranges in its place.

The rest of the programme remains unchanged.
