Top producer heads up Entertainment and Events for BBC Scotland
Independent producer Eileen Herlihy – who lists Strictly Come Dancing, The Weakest Link, Star Spell and The F Word among her credits – is BBC Scotland's new Head of Entertainment and Events.
Eileen, currently an Executive Producer with IWC, has worked as series producer on The Weakest Link, Eggheads and Without Prejudice?
She will be responsible for all in-house network entertainment productions at BBC Scotland as well as a diverse Events portfolio.
Donalda MacKinnon, Head of Programmes and Services at BBC Scotland, said today: "I am delighted that Eileen is joining us in this key role as she brings extensive experience gained through independent productions and a solid BBC background.
"She also has extensive leadership experience and I know she will bring energy and flair to driving forward our in-house development and production in Entertainment and Events."
Eileen Herlihy will take up her post on Monday 24 August 2009.
