BBC Cymru Wales will provide S4C with more Welsh news than ever before with four new Newyddion news bulletins from Monday 1 June 2009.
The bulletins at 1.30pm, 2.55pm, 6.55pm and 10.30pm are in addition to the main Newyddion programme at 7.30pm and the bulletin at 8.55pm which are currentlly broadcast from Monday to Friday.
Keith Jones, Head of Welsh Language programmes at BBC Wales, says: "We are very pleased with our current service and these bulletins add to our provision ensuring that S4C viewers receive the latest news from BBC Wales as it breaks in Wales and across the world.
"BBC Wales's aim is to provide a first class and comprehensive news service in Welsh."
Rhian Gibson, S4C's Commissioning Editor, added: "Additional news bulletins throughout the day will enhance our output as we prepare for digital switch over when S4C will become a stand-alone Welsh language channel."
The team presenting the new bulletins will be Dewi Llwyd, Garry Owen, Nia Tudur, Telor Iwan, Nia Cerys, Sara Gibson, Nest Williams and Iwan Griffiths.
