BBC One to broadcast NFL Super Bowl XLIII: Pittsburgh Steelers v Arizona Cardinals

BBC One will show the NFL Super Bowl XLIII on Sunday (1 February) at 11.00pm live from Tampa Bay, Florida.

Jake Humphrey will be presenting the coverage and will be joined in the studio by ex-Steelers star Rod Woodson and Mike Carlson.

Pittsburgh will be looking to make history by becoming the first team to win six Super Bowls, but they face the season's surprise package in Arizona, who have made the showpiece game for the first time in their history. The Cardinals' 37-year-old quarterback Kurt Warner will be hoping to be the first man to lead two different teams to Super Bowl success, having previously won with St Louis in 2000.

Commentary will be provided by Al Michaels and John Madden from NBC with BBC Radio 5 Live's Arlo White and Greg Brady available on the red button.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be performing at the Half-Time Show and Jennifer Hudson will be singing the United States National Anthem before the game.
