Adele and Paul Weller to feature on 6 Music

BBC 6 Music presents an exclusive performance by British music icon Paul Weller and one of the most successful new acts of 2008, Adele.

In an intimate session, to be recorded at the BBC's Maida Vale studios on 4 December, Paul and Adele will play their own material alongside brand-new collaborative interpretations of some of their favourite tracks.

This is the first of a new series of unique musical collaborations for 6 Music called Hub Combos.

Its aim is to create unique collaborations between artists that are important to 6 Music and its audience. Whether that is the combination of a hugely influential heritage act with a current breakthrough act, a mix of acts from different genres or the reuniting of musicians with a musical history, the Hub Combo aims to join the musical dots for its audience.

Jeff Smith, Head of Music for BBC 6 Music, said: "6 Music is special because we are able to play an amazing range of music, across decades and genres. With Hub Combos we aim to create unique live experiences that give audiences an insight into the musical influence of all the artists that we play."

"Hub Combos" is an extension of the 6 Music Hub – the home of live music sessions on 6. The Hub has been host to an amazing array of artists, from early sessions by bands such as The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs and Snow Patrol to more recently Bloc Party, Glasvegas, White Denim and Friendly Fires.

Full Programme Transmission Details:

Session tracks can be heard first in George Lamb's 6 Music Show, Friday 5 December, 10.00am-1.00pm on 6 Music.

The full performance can be heard in a special Hub Combos programme, Friday 5 December 7.00-7.30pm.

The session, including interviews with each artist, can be watched for seven days from 5 December by pressing the Red Button.
