Stanford Super Series kicks off winter cricket on 5 Live and 5 Live Sports Extra

Commentary of the most financially rewarding match in cricketing history between the Stanford Superstars and England will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live on Saturday 1 November.

England and the Stanford Superstars will go head to head to compete for the $20million prize money made available by Texan billionaire Sir Allen Stanford, who now lives in Antigua.

Jonathan Agnew will be joined in the commentary box by Arlo White and Tony Cozier, alongside expert summarisers – West Indies legend Sir Viv Richards, England Test opener and Middlesex player Andrew Strauss, former West Indies captain Jimmy Adams and former England international and Middlesex captain Shaun Udal.

Commentary is from 9.00pm.

Test Match Special will also have coverage of the warm-up matches as Trinidad and Tobago take on the English Twenty20 champions Middlesex on Monday 27 October (9.15pm), followed by England v Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday 28 October (9.35pm), both on BBC 5 Live Sports Extra.

The TMS team move to India for a series of seven One Day Internationals and two Test matches, with ball-by-ball commentary on 5 Live Sports Extra from Friday 14 November (3.20am).

Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar will provide expert analysis throughout the tour, with Geoffrey Boycott and Simon Hughes joining the team for ball-by-ball commentary of the two-match Test series from Thursday 11 December.
